This year, Carlin Speech Pathology & Associates proudly celebrates 30 years of serving children and families throughout our community.
Since opening our doors in 1996, our mission has remained beautifully simple:
To help every child find their voice, reach their fullest potential, and remind every family that hope begins with believing in what’s possible.
Over the past three decades, we have been privileged to walk alongside thousands of children as they spoke their first words, overcame challenges, gained confidence, achieved independence, and reached milestones that once seemed impossible. Every breakthrough—big or small—has become part of our story.
That story began with the vision of Ellen and Michael Carlin.
Together, they dreamed of creating more than a therapy practice. They wanted to build a place where children would be celebrated, families would feel supported, and every child would receive compassionate, individualized care.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Ellen Carlin has dedicated her career to helping children and families thrive. Her passion for excellence has expanded the services we provide through her expertise in lactation consulting and myofunctional therapy, positively impacting countless infants, children, and families throughout our community. Her commitment to innovation, education, and compassionate care continues to shape the future of pediatric therapy.
Working beside her every step of the way is Michael Carlin, whose leadership and dedication have provided the foundation that has allowed the practice to flourish. By overseeing the business operations with integrity and vision, Michael has helped create an environment where clinicians can focus on what matters most—changing children’s lives.
Perhaps what speaks most to their commitment is this:

They continue to greet families, support their staff, celebrate each child’s accomplishments, and remain personally invested in every aspect of the practice they built together.
